On Sunday, Gov. John Kasich signed a bill to begin the process of reforming Ohio’s charter schools. The law takes effect in 90 days.
“While we are proud of Ohio’s high-performing charter schools, there are too many that haven’t been serving our kids with the quality they deserve,” Kasich said. “...this bill will profoundly benefit our children.”
The law brings clearer rules and accountability to charter schools. It will make it easier for high-performing charter schools to grow and will make records more readily accessible to the public.
